Desi Cow Ghee (A2 & Mixed Breed)

India's most premium dairy export. A2 ghee (from indigenous Gir and Sahiwal cow breeds) commands 3–5× the price of regular ghee in USA and EU health food markets. Traditional Bilona (hand-churned from curd) method is the artisanal premium tier. Rich in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), butyric acid, and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K. Ayurvedic and keto diet positioning drives strong Western demand.

Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP) & Whole Milk Powder
Gujarat (Amul belt), Rajasthan, Maharashtra
India is world's largest milk producer (230M+ MT/year). SMP (1.5% fat) and WMP (26% fat) are bulk commodity exports when domestic prices are competitive. FSSAI and BIS certified. Primary markets: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, and Southeast Asia for food manufacturing. Spray-dried in 25kg multilayer bags. Amul is India's dominant processor; cooperative-sourced milk.

Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese)

Fresh paneer is the most exported Indian dairy product after ghee. Exported frozen (-18°C) in 200g, 500g, and 1kg retail blocks and foodservice bulk slabs. Moisture ≤60%, fat ≥50% on dry basis (FSSAI spec). Key markets: UAE, UK, USA, Canada, and Australia where Indian restaurant and diaspora retail demand is substantial. Shelf life: 6 months frozen.

Butter & White Butter (Makhan)
Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan
Salted and unsalted butter exported in 25kg cartons (food manufacturing grade) and 200–500g retail packs. White butter (unsalted, traditional makhan) is the artisanal segment. Fat content ≥80% (table butter standard). India's butter exports are largely linked to ghee manufacturing — surplus butter converted to ghee. Middle East food manufacturers are the primary bulk buyers.
