Kashmir walnut is among the world's finest — thin shell, large kernel, high oil content. FDA-qualified health claim for cardiovascular risk reduction. Light amber halves command the highest price. Exported as halves (premium), quarters, and broken pieces. Cold-pressed walnut oil for salad dressings and cosmetics is a niche premium segment.

Mamra almond (teardrop shape, harder, more aromatic, higher oil) is the premium Indian variety — sold at 3–4× common almond price in Middle East and South Asian markets. Common almonds available blanched (steam), sliced, slivered, and as almond flour (gluten-free baking) and almond butter.
